Tips For Girls

Today I am going to tell y'all some good beauty and health tips. Comment if you have any questions or have any other tips you want to share.

1) I always have had trouble with dried lips and I do not have very good chap stick. But the kind that I recommend because it always work is EOS, yes I know it is $2-5 but it is totally worth it! It restores my lips for several weeks and they will be fine as with other chap stick it will be one day and I feel like I could die their so chapped.

2) If you are out of shaving cream and you look like a gorilla then here's the solution...get some coconut oil out of the pantry and smear some on your legs or wherever you are shaving and shave it is that simple. And do not worry about scent it gives you tropical smell so don't worry about perfume or body spray.

3) Two other uses for coconut oil are... apply it to your body as a lotion again do not worry about scent it has a good scent already to it. The second use is to apply to nails to restore nails.

4) don't like not having enough time to get ready before school? Try setting a play list on your phone, ipod, computer whatever and make sure the play list is about as long s it will take for you to get ready. Then set an alarm an hour or two before you get up. Once you have done this when you get up in the morning have a song or to for each thing you do. So lets say I get up and have one song for brushing my teeth another song for brushing my hair. If the song is over and your are not done that will help you to know to finish up. So by using this technique you can listen to music, have an alarm for everything you do, and get to school on time.

5) I always have problems with getting my nail polish on my nails and not my skin. Well here is a solution paint Elmer's glue ( just normal school glue ) around you nail and let the glue dry quickly then go ahead and paint your nails. When you are done painting your nails just peel off the glue and there you go pretty close to perfection. eh?
6) If you have trouble with hair like me...short and wavyish, thick/poofy hair then here are some good tips
- the night before you do this put your hair in one or two braids or however many you want to do. I would do a french or fish tail but if you don't know how to do those then go ahead and do normal.
The next morning take out your hair. It should be nice and wavy. You can leave it like that or get a curler and just add a few curls to it so it's a mix of wavy and curly. and mess it up if you want do anything you want with it but I would put hair spray in it to keep it wavy and curly.

7) I highly recommend www.Pinterest.com for ideas and many other things. You must be 13 I think to have your own account (it is the law) so if you are under the age of 13 just ask your parents to make one under their name and email. But I have always had success with pinterest, finding what I need and all...so that is why I recommend it.

well everyone thank for reading. Please do comment if you have any tips they could go up on one of my posts and also if you have any questions and...if you do any of these things tell me your results!
Bye for now! Hope everyone had a Miscellaneous day:)

Summer Goals

This summer my parents asked me and my siblings to have 3 goals, a physical goal, a spiritual goal, and a academic goal. For a physical goal I would like to be able to do blogilates everyday. Blogilates is a exercise much like yoga except I little bit harder. I really like doing blogilates, it's really fun and I love being in shape. So I that's my physical goal for this summer, now my spiritual goal. I want to be able to have read the whole new testament. At first I wanted to be able to read the whole entire bible however that wouldn't be enough time to do so. And since I wanted to read some of the bible I chose the new testament, I have read some of the books in the new testament so it should work out, timing wise. My last goal is an academic goal, I decided to do something with math since math is a subject that I'm struggling with, time wise. It usually takes me about an hour do do 1 lesson which is 30 problems. So I am going to set a timer for 1 hour and try to do my entire math lesson in the hour. Each week I will try to shred some time off of that hour, minute by minute until I can't go any quicker. Whether I am not able to only have taken off 2 minutes or I am able to shred off 15 minutes a week, I am setting a challenge for myself and that's my goal.
Wish me luck:)

My CRAZY Family

I am blessed with a family and a home filled with joy and love. There are 6 people in my family as well as 2 dogs and 1 cat. Doesn't sound that bad actually and we are usually pretty organized but the times that we aren't...well...lets just say that we become more crazy than we already are. Jack is the oldest he is 15, Ella-Kathryn (me) am 12, Will is 9, and last but not least Ryan who is 7. So as you can see I am the only girl, but I manage somehow. The thing is, my dad works full time as a cop, my mom is now working part time doing data entry for the sheriffs office, my Jack goes to public school but the rest of us kids are home-schooled. I love being home-schooled! I can sleep in, stay up later, have more time during the day to do what I want, and I cant eat what I want and when I want all day. Don't get me wrong, I do 5 hours of school a day (it isn't a lot compared to public school) and I work hard. In my spare time I do chores around the house, play baseball, football, soccer, etc. with my brothers, talk to my friends and cousins over face time or texting, and take naps in my hammock:)
I really like school surprisingly but I don't like it as in all want to do is school everyday all day kind of thing. I am a slow learner which means it takes time for me to understand something so simple. And so that can make my days go by slower, make me frustrated, or make me not like a subject anymore but it only lasts a day or so. My favorite subjects are science (even though it's harder for me to understand), math, grammar, and reading. I do four days of school a week (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) so that makes it easier to start a new week of school knowing I only have four days till I am done with school.
Part of my day is a time where I do my bible study and read my bible. I like to do my bible study first thing in the morning or late at night, before I go to bed. I always have bible study outside of the home except for holidays, breaks, and in the summer. Well, now that it's summer I don't have any bible studies to go to, so I am responsible for reading my bible everyday. I like to have a reminder either on my phone or have someone to keep me accountable. I have been trying to keep someone I know accountable which has been hard but I will manage.
I am also a busy body, I like to be busy and when I am and I have my plate full I am content. I don't like to be lazy and sit around but it happens more often that I would like it to. However I do like to have a day in the week where I can just sit around take care of some things around the house but mainly just relax and take a break from the things happening around me.
Since it is summer my school is a bit lighter. The only things I have to get done are math, history, science, and grammar it's an in between. All other subjects though such as dictation, Spanish, composition, and current event I don't have to put as a priority but I need try to get them done. School days usually look like this: I do my school first thing in the morning which takes about 3 hours or less then we head to the pool. So I am excited for those summer days to come!
Jack is already out of school, today was his last day. All he has for the rest of the summer is football and work. Both my parents will be working over the summer. My little brothers will be doing school. I will be doing school and babysitting.
Summer and School here I come:)

#summerof2017

I cannot believe it is summer already! Holy guacamole! I love summer despite the heat (which I am not the biggest fan of). So even though it is pretty hot in the summer I am always able to endure it and have fun. However I do my school year round which every now and then kinda stinks but it's what happens when I get off Fridays and whenever we have family over and school's not out. It doesn't bother me that much I am still able to have fun, enjoy the beach and pool, and the sweet taste of watermelon.
Speaking of the beach, as I have mentioned before, my family has a tradition of visiting my grandparents, who live in Florida. Our trip goes like this: My whole family goes down to Tennessee first to stay with my aunt, uncle, and two cousins. We sometimes will go down to Florida together, other times we don't because either they are already down in Florida or are leaving after we leave for Florida. But when we do go down to Florida together it is really fun. The boys (my three brothers and the cousin that's a boy) ride with my mom and my aunt while the girls (me and the cousin that's a girl) ride with my dad and my uncle. My point is that me and my cousin get to ride together and it is free of our brothers. Wahoo! We usually go down to the beach everyday, eat my grandpa's AMAZING food (he is a really good cook), and get to stay in the house that I've stayed in when we visit since I was around 3 years old. So as you can see from my enthusiasm, I enjoy my stay very very much.
This summer is going to be super fun because of these four things:

1. My grandparents are moving back this month! However I will be gone at camp when they move back but I will be able to see them when I get back. They currently live in California but have sold their house and bought a new one here. I really miss them and can't wait to see them!

2. I am going to a beach camp at Luguna beach in Florida. So pretty! I am really excited and a little nervous. I am going to the camp through my cousins church. It's the cousin I always go to Florida with and she invited me to go with her so I am. Her, her brother, other cousin, and aunt will be there as well.

3. I am going to Silver Dollar City the week after I go to camp with my family. So awesome!

4. I then am going to Florida three weeks after I go to Silver Dollar City to visit my other grandparents in Florida

So those are my summer plans so far and I am super excited about each and everyone of them:)
Hope y'all have an awesome summer!

FALL

Fall is my favorite season to be honest. There is the leaves and Halloween and thanksgiving. Boy oh boy, the feast, the best feast of them all. Turkey and mash potatoes and pie etc. Only the best stuff ever!
Hahaha. I'll get back to what I was saying, Fall is more than just a season it is special. It is when the cold weather arrives and winter is slowly arriving, when it is okay to have your hands full of food and blankets and cuddle up on the couch and watch a movie with the family, and to buy or make a costume for Halloween and trick or treat then eat all the candy in one to two nights, (I'm a bit old for trick or treat but I can pretend I am young again-don't judge) and eat all the food you can eat on thanksgiving.
But speaking of Halloween I am planning on being a clown. Not the average goofy fun clown but the one that lives in the sewer, you know IT...dun dun dun. Ha just kidding about the dun dun dun but I am serious about the clown. I personally have always wanted to be something scary but never really was aloud because my brothers were too young and it might scare them out of their skin. But...now that I am older (as well as my younger brothers) my mom allows it. Tell me what you will be for Halloween! Help me to get ideas for a backup! Just kidding but I would love to know!
Anywho though. I am always hungry for food in the fall so my mother is always making food so here are some of the recipes and links that I love and have been wanting to try, and will eat before you can say that you wanted to try some.

The Joy And Struggles Of Being A Christian

I am a christian I believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross for me and my sins and that he rose from the dead and went up to heaven.
For me being a christian means excepting the difficulties and having patients and trust. But to able to tell you my story I need to start from the beginning...when I was a younger I went to church and my parents taught me and my eldest brother about God and what a christian is an requires of a person and just how everything kind of works as a christian. As me and my brother got older we realized what it meant and thought about getting baptized. At the moment I was still young so my parents said to wait to get baptized however my older brother went ahead and got baptized. My family was proud and so was I so a year or two later me and one of my besties got baptized same time, same place, together it was really fun and amazing. I was proud and felt renewed, and felt as I had just been given a new fresh start and path to walk on. I became a true Christian. As a got older I got into reading the bible and being diligent with everything but when I moved and started into my teenage phases I hit a wall a brick wall. I started to not like going to church I felt disconnected and unhappy and I stopped reading my bible and praying and it was painful. I didn't know what to do. Later that year though my mom found a bible study that we both could go to. We both started going once a week on Tuesdays and I felt refreshed and renewed again just as I had felt when I was baptized. So every year to this day I have been going to this bible study fall through spring. And it has been the best thing that has ever happened to me that has helped me with my relationship with the Lord. Over the summer though is when I get out of touch and drift away from staying in touch with the Lord. So I have been trying to pray daily night and morning and reading my bible either in the morning or in the evening. So that is my story that has been briefed up a bit:).
But for me I have many more struggles some I prefer not to share and more things that have dragged me down in life.
But I would love to hear your stories and comment below for questions. Hope you enjoyed today's post. Have a miscellaneous day!:D
